Meet the Doctor
Dr. Schoenwetter was born and raised in. Marin County, California. His father served in the merchant marine from 1941 to 1982 and take the family on extended vacations to any place that interested him and his mother regardless of the season and much of Dr. Schoenwetter grade school was done “on the fly” and exposed to extensive traveling since 2nd grade. He graduated from La Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in 1974 doing post graduate work in Nuclear Medicine and Family Practice at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Texas Tech University at El Paso, Texas and NRMC Oakland, California.
In 1978 he was deployed as DESRON 36 destroyer squadron physician (5 ships) from Portsmouth VA to the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Indian oceans and ports of call as distant as Karachi, Pakistan and Mombasa, Kenya. He graduated with high standings and spent his post graduate years in the family practice and nuclear medicine at Dalhousie Texas Tech and the Naval Medical Center.
He gained extensive travel experience a well-versed nature in medicine during his tours of the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Indian Oceans with a naval destroyer squadron.
Last, but nowhere near least, the Doctor has been a household name in San Pedro since 1980 and strives for nothing short of perfect patient satisfaction!
